Following a fire in 1996, the shipyard, located back then near Slussen on Orust, burned down to the ground. Although this was a serious blow at the time, Benny did not give up, instead he obtained the venerable Vindö Shipyard on Orust. The facilities were upgraded and expanded into one of Sweden’s most modern shipyards and since then the yard has grown every year. Production began again in January 1997; changes were made on all models and thereby also the designations which were changed to Nord West 330, Nord West 355 and Nord West 410. The Trawler model was dis-continued after the fire.
